Researches constitute an important part for bettering the insurance services from car insurance companies. One recent research conducted by the Department of Transport in UK has revealed that the average age of the cars on the roads has seen a dramatic increase over the years.
The study revealed that as compared to the year 2003, the average car age was 7.1 years in the year 2009. The previous data shows a comparatively small value of 6.6 years for the licensed cars. In addition to this data, the survey conducted by one of the leading car insurance companies brought out the fact that over 48 percent of the driving population have postponed car repairs or have done them done with a careless attitude. The same trend was noted with the car maintenance.
