There seem to be an awful lot of surveys around at the moment that have been taken around various cheap car insurance issues.  One of the most interesting I found is the subject of this post. Apparently, many people are trying to suggest that breakdown cover is one of the elements of car insurance that can be omitted in order to achieve cheap car insurance.

66% of drivers without breakdown insurance would call a relative/friend or would undertake a DIY repair hen and there if they broke down. 10% said  they would even try to repair their cars on the hard shoulder of a motorway. This has angered me a little because it is necessary to remember that the driver of a car that breaks down is not the only person on the road. A poor repair can cause severe issues becaus it may well cause harms to other people a little further down the road. There is no substitute for breakdown cover so give everyone else peace of mind that they ill not be hurt or worse by someone else’s stupidity.
